The University Maastricht group "Students for Justice in Palestine" had planned a meeting to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli conflict today, on the Netherlands' national day of remembrance, however due to its sensitive subject, it has been cancelled.

The University was trying to keep the event low-key, which also included an appearance from an Israeli author and dissident. The Jonge Democraten Limburg party had already voiced their criticisms of the planned meeting. They said it was tasteless that an anti-Zionist meeting would be organised within a semi-governmental organisation on this important day of unity for the Netherlands.
